⭐ Properties of Ionic compounds ⭐ 1. They conduct electricity/heat - Due to mobile charged particles 2. They have very high melting & boiling points due to the presence of strong electrostatic force between the ions 3. Solubility - ionic compounds are soluble in polar solvents. However, they are insoluble in non-polar solvents 4. They are Brittle - they break down into small pieces.  Why are Ionic compounds brittle?
